Article: BE:LOVED FEBRUARY

BE:LOVED FEBRUARY

BE:LOVED FEBRUARY

Last year an estimated 152 million roses were sold in the two weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day in a floral tradition that dates to Victorian times. Back then, starstruck lovers would use flower bouquets to deliver a massage to the object of their affection. Of course, the colour red has long been synonymous with passion too, hence the traditional red rose being the most established of Valentine gestures.

But at Be:Loved HQ, roses aren’t just for Valentine’s Day. Our passion for pets means these delicately fragrant blooms are an all-year-round feature on our all-natural ingredients list.

Delicate rose extract is exceptionally hydrating and antibacterial, so we add it to our Be:Silky Pet Skin & Coat Oil Rub to help keep your dog’s skin and fur healthy and nourished. Just warm a few drops in the palm of your hand and rub into their skin and coat to freshen, improve circulation, enrich and condition.

At this point, we should also point out that it’s totally OK to share the love! There are absolutely NO nasties in any Be:Loved product, only kind, gentle ingredients we’d happily use ourselves. So, when you’ve finished treating your pup to their nurturing massage, you can rub any remaining oil into your hands for nourished nails and cuticles!

Other ingredients in our best-selling Be:Silky Pet Skin & Coat Oil Rub include grape seed, sweet almond, lavender, and vitamin E; all lovingly chosen by us for their pup (and human!) pampering properties.

Sourcing proven, natural ingredients like these is at the heart of what we do. All our formulations have evolved from real life, tried and tested recipes handed down through generations.

Our CEO Carina’s family used to create cures for their farm stock using only nature’s harvest.  They compiled a treasure trove of recipes in an old book that Carina still has to this day. In it she found amazing natural remedies, from soaps and shampoos for grubby hands and fur, to moisturising balms for cracked skin and callouses.

Bringing these wonderful recipes to you has been a labour of love for her and we hope you fall in love with them too.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
